MLJCLC's Fundraising Events
For the past 2 years we have participated in the Tigers on the Prowl fundraising event. Artist's who partner with sponsors unleash their art for this wonderful fundraiser to raise money for local charities. The majority of the funds are raised through selling sponsorship's, tickets, and artwork at their annual dinner and art auction. It is a wonderful fundraiser for a plethora of non-profit organizations. You can purchase a ticket or table each year as the date moves closer to time. You can also donate straight to Mary Lee Johnston anytime by heading to our 'Giving' page and clicking the donate button or clicking the 'donate' button at the top of the page. Any donation made to us is extremely appreciated.
Our amazing sponsors for this opportunity for the past two years are Hawthorn Bank and Johnston Paint and Decorating. Without them we wouldn't be able to participate in this charity event. We thank them for all they have done.
On March 17th, 2019 we participated in the annual ShamRox Run! It was held at Logboat Brewing Company which resides at 504 Fay St. here in Columbia. We were the headlining charity for this event. We received funding based on the number of volunteers we provided for the race which was a great amount thanks to our wonderful families and staff. Not only did this help raise funds for our center but it also raised awareness for what we do in our community. The children were involved by making mile markers and artwork for the race!
On April 4th, 2019 we hosted our first Annual MLJCLC Trivia Night! We had an amazing event full of food, laughter, auction items, and TRIVIA. Brian Stuhlman provided us with amazing trivia rounds and Mo Lewis helped us out with presenting everything throughout the night. Our main sponsors for this event were HBI- Huebert Builders Inc., Columbia - Boonslick Kiwanis International, and First Midwest Bank. We thank them for their support for without them this event might not have been possible. Please join us each year as we grow this event and make this one of our greatest nights of the year.
